About Us and New Projects at Cadoxton.

Cadoxton Primary School offers modern facilities inside a traditional building which is over 100 years old. The school has undergone extensive renovations and includes dedicated rooms for ICT, Music, Art and Design, a well stocked library and SEN room. There are 10 interactive whiteboards within the school.

Recent developments include a new link building between the recently amalgamated Infants and Junior sections and a NOF funded Sports Hall to the rear of the school.

The school comprises;

 Infant Dept; 2 Reception classes (ages 4 and 5), 2 Year One classes (ages 5 and 6), and 3 year two classes (ages 6 and 7).

  Junior Dept; 2 year Three classes (ages 7 and 8), 2 Year Four classes (ages 8 and 9), 2 Year Five classes (ages 9 and 10) and 2 Year Six classes (ages 10 and 11).

Current projects

We are currently in the process of improving our outdoor environment by fundraising events and grants.

In the Reception playground we are developing a wildlife area.

In the Year one/Year two playground we are developing the shelter and have painted and added windows to a once dark and dreary space. We have installed a climbing wall (see below) and are working on seating and tables.

In the Junior yard we are creating a seated area and raised garden.

 Through fundraising and receiving a grant we have been able to provide our Junior pupils with a quiet seated area and games tables.

We are in the process of acquiring plants to create a greener playground.

 We have also bought some table top and wall games to provide a stimulus for the children during break times, and encourage cooperative play.
