Spring Term

This term the main topic we are learning about is the Science topic 'The Human Body'. We are looking at the skeleton, main organs and muscles. We will also learn about healthy living.

In maths we will learn about timetables, 3D shapes, capacity, timetables as well as mental maths work on different number operations.

Other work will include in D.T. developing children's sewing skills by making a pattern with different stitches.

The class story this term is 'The Afterdark Princess' and we will do work based on the characters and events in the story.

For St. Davids Day the children will be writing stories about a welsh giant and writing a poem imagining they are at the seaside. They will also print flowers from a picture by Augustus John.

On 9th March we will celebrate World Book Day with activities all day based on books.

On 13th March we will join in Comic Relief Day by telling jokes and wearing something funny.
